March 13:

Spurs, Timberwolves, and Jazz are rumored to be involved in a three-team swap (via HoopsWorld).

The San Antonio Spurs, Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves are discussing a three-team deal, according to sources close to the situation. Nothing is imminent, but the teams will continue to talk over the next two days.

In the rumored deal, the Spurs would acquire Josh Howard, the Timberwolves would acquire C.J. Miles and Jamaal Tinsley and the Jazz would acquire Danny Green and Wayne Ellington. Other players and draft picks will likely be included in the finalized trade.

Utah holds a $10.9 traded-player exception and San Antonio holds a $854,400 traded-player exception as well.

Sources described the talks as ongoing, but stressed that no deal is imminent.

Looks like Josh Smith isn’t getting dealt from Atlanta (via The News Tribune).

The Atlanta Hawks have no plans to deal Josh Smith before Thursday’s deadline, according to their co-owner.

“The likelihood of us trading Josh at the trade deadline is as close to zero as you can get,” Bruce Levenson told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

If Boris Diaw is going to get bought out, it seems the Spurs (especially Tony Parker) and Knicks are interested in his services (via Project Spurs).

“Tony Parker indicated Monday night in his TP Show in RMC he’d like to see Boris Diaw joining him in San Antonio. ‘He’s in shape. I’m the first to make fun of him when he gains too much weight but right now it’s not the case. We’re very interested to get him but New York is interested too. We’ll see’.”
