The Clippers have just announced that star forward Blake Griffin is out indefinitely. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, it is a staph infection.

And if you’re wondering how that affects All-Star status:
Reminder: It’s up to Silver to pick who replaces Blake Griffin in the All-Star Game, then up to Steve Kerr to choose who starts in his place — Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) February 8, 2015
Look for NBA commissioner Adam Silver to name Portland’s Damian Lillard as Griffin’s injury replacement for the All-Star Game

So now all the Damian Lillard sympathizers can relax, but hopefully it doesn’t hinder the Clippers doesn’t too much as they are sitting in the sixth place, just a half-game ahead of the Spurs.
