The start of the 2014-15 NBA season for the Hawks started off quite rocky. Not for anything on the court but for off the court issues involving team GM Danny Ferry and allegations of racism.
Since then, it’s been quiet on that front after Ferry took an indefinite leave of absence after the release of an audio recording of him reading a racist scouting report.
Fast forward to today and the Hawks are riding high, playing some of the best basketball in the league, and have a stellar record at 44-12 atop the East. However, Atlanta probably wouldn’t be in the position they’re in without Ferry and his player movement.
Something Atlanta’s DeMarre Carroll sees and says he would take Danny back with open arms and says everyone makes mistakes in life.
