NBA Hall of Famer and current advisor to the Sacramento Kings, Chris Mullin, has been offered a job at his alma mater in St. John’s. He helped lead the team to the 1985 Final Four and now could take the path of another former player like Fred Hoiberg at Iowa State. Of course, Mullin is known for his time in a Pacers and Warriors jersey and scoring almost 18,000 points in his career.
You might remember Mullin’s moves as the GM of the Warriors. He was responsible for drafting Monta Ellis and trading for Baron Davis in his prime, but he also traded for Dale Davis and Dan Dickau so take that how you like. Either way, he has no head coaching experience so getting this job could be the starting point for another head coaching position down the road in college or even in the NBA like many thought he would be for the Kings.
