With Playoff Spot On The Line, New Orleans Pelicans Have Most Expensive Regular Season Tickets Remaining

There are three scheduled days left of the NBA regular season and there isn’t much that is set in stone. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will determine if teams such as the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference and in the Western Conference, the duel for eighth between the New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder will come down to the wire.

As for positioning, the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets are all within a half-game of each other, while in the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors are battling for the No. 3 seed and the right to play the Milwaukee Bucks. Did you get all that?

With little time remaining, lets look at the three most expensive NBA tickets according to ScoreBig for the remaining regular season games.

Most Expensive: 4/15/15 | New Orleans Pelicans vs. San Antonio Spurs | Smoothie King Center | Average: $290.60 | Get-in: $22

The New Orleans Pelicans and the Oklahoma City Thunder have the same exact 43-37 record, but the Pelicans have the slight edge, winning the season series 3-1 to own the tiebreaker. The Pelicans have had the harder schedule down the stretch, which continues as they play the hottest team in the NBA right now, the San Antonio Spurs on the last day of the regular season. The Spurs are riding an 11-game win streak and have vaulted into the No. 2 seed, which few saw coming as of only a few weeks ago. The Pelicans play the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday before taking on the Spurs, and Pelicans tickets are seeing huge prices due to the playoff battle coming down to the wire.

4/15/15 | Chicago Bulls vs. Atlanta Hawks | United Center | Average: $189.91 | Get-in: $50

The Atlanta Hawks have clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and tickets for the Hawks are responding accordingly, but the team has received some negative news when the Hawks announced their best perimeter defender, Thabo Sefolosha, is going to miss the rest of the season due to injury. Atlanta is 7-3 in their last 10 games, but are facing a Bulls team that has a new energy since the return of Derrick Rose. As of Monday, the Bulls have won two in a row and are in a battle with the Toronto Raptors for the conference’s No. 3 seed. The teams have the same record at 48-32 with two games remaining. The difference in opponents for the first round would be the Milwaukee Bucks or Washington Wizards.

4/14/2015 | Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Clippers | U.S. Airways Center | Average: $152.38 | Get-in: $20

The Phoenix Suns have been mathematically eliminated from the postseason, but NBA fans have proven they enjoy watching Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the rest of the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers are in the wild race for Western Conference playoff positioning. The aforementioned four-team race can have the Clippers land anywhere from the No. 2 seed to the No. 6 seed in their final two games.
