Colors make a statement.
Yellow might mean someone is cowardly, pink is associated with girls and blue is associated with boys. Black, on the other hand, usually evokes thoughts of villains.
Think about it. Darth Vader wore all black, and Venom of the Spiderman comics is a raging beast in all black, so how appropriate is it that the Miami Heat (widely considered the scourge of the NBA by most NBA fans) unveiled their new all-black alternate uniforms (via sportressofblogitude.com) for the upcoming season at media day.
I must admit, I do think these new jerseys are pretty cool. The all-black uniforms do make a statement. They just ooze intimidation.
Now how will it be for the Heat and LeBron James to wear these uniforms when they make a trip to Cleveland and face the Cavaliers. I think it be very appropriate.
