This is exactly what Olympiacos hoped they were getting back when they re-signed former NBA big man Joey Dorsey to a two-year contract extension in early August.
Alright, maybe they did not think Dorsey would be shattering backboards during a friendly preseason game against Sassari, but you cannot fault the 6-foot-9 forward for being aggressive.
That was anything but friendly.
Imagine, this could have been done for the Boston Celtics this season.
Dorsey worked out for Boston back in June in an attempt to make a return to the NBA, but sadly enough nothing materialized from the session. After Portland drafted Dorsey in 2008, he was dealt to Houston as part of the Nicolas Batum deal and never really found a home in the league despite playing with Sacramento and Toronto.
Since taking his game overseas, Dorsey has played in Spain and now is settling in for the long haul with Olympiacos after averaging 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds in 17 minutes per game (21 games) last season.
Apparently this season Dorsey's looking to go strong to the rim in Greece.
