San Antonio Spurs (44-12) vs. Golden State Warriors (31-23)
10:30 p.m./ESPN

A few weeks ago the Golden State Warriors unveiled the newest technology in performance apparel. At least to hit the NBA. The Warriors will wear jerseys with sleeves on them!

Stack.comThese jerseys may not be quite as aesthetically pleasing as they could be. The shorts are a different color yellow than the jerseys, which do look kind of slick I must say. Now the question is how will the players like them when they play a full game in them.

And the Warriors will have a true test for adidas to gather information from about this new technology.

So why these form-fitting uniforms? There seem to be a number of reasons. The uniforms absorb sweat better and allow the players more range of motion. At least theoretically. And apparently they will allow trainers to monitor injuries better with the ability to put sensors inside the uniform themselves.

That is pretty crazy technology.

Those conclusions and this ability to use the new technology from adidas will not be made after one game. But this could be a very intriguing night and a big one in the future of jersey technology and performance apparel.

Other Storylines to Watch

-It has been an emotional few weeks for Stephen Jackson. Jackson returned to the court last night for the Spurs for the first time in a week. He left the team after learning that his wife had miscarried. It is a very unfortunate tragedy and one that must have been very emotional and difficult for Jackson to return from. Jackson played a solid game against the Clippers last night as did his teammates. A good reprieve from an emotional time for him and his family.

-Harrison Barnes had an up-and-down career at North Carolina. He was the top prospect in the country and expected to do big things. It may have taken three years, but now he is doing big things. At this point in the season, Barnes has found his comfort in being aggressive and attacking for Golden State. They will need the rookie to continue to step up if they are to make the Playoffs.

New York Knicks (32-19) vs. Toronto Raptors (22-33)
7 p.m.

One of the hotter names many thought might get moved at the trade deadline was Iman Shumpert. The Knicks confirmed after the fact that there were several offers on the table for Shumpert but the team was not willing to bite on them. So now New York has its team for the rest of the season and has to rediscover its footing for the stretch run. The Raptors will be standing in the way.

Denver Nuggets (34-21) vs. Washington Wizards (15-37)
7 p.m.

The Wizards made a minor deal at this year's deadline trading Jordan Crawford to the Celtics for Jason Collins and the injured Leandro Barbosa. Consider it another step to distance the team a bit from its me-first past and turn the team truly over to players like John Wall and Bradley Beal.

Chicago Bulls (31-23) vs. Charlotte Bobcats (13-41)
7 p.m.

Is there some discord in the Bulls' house? Derrick Rose's brother's odd comments criticizing Chicago for failing to make a trade at the deadline makes you wonder. While Derrick Rose distanced himself, it is hard to figure where these comments came from. Are they signs Rose does not like the direction of the team and the progress of rehab? Is it just a fan who thinks the stars path is the way to go. I mean, the Bulls had two All Stars this year. If Rose can't win with that, that is not Chicago's problem.

Charlie Villanueva might be the poster child for bad contracts in the league right now. He has a player option for the final year of his contract which he can choose to exercise this summer. When he was asked about it recently, the answer to him was obvious. Heads up, Detroit, you got one more year of Villanueva.

Houston Rockets (30-26) vs. Brooklyn Nets (33-22)
7:30 p.m.

Many thought the Nets would make a deal at the trade deadline to make a splash and get back in the Eastern Conference race. Dwight Howard's soap opera never ended. Brooklyn made an offer for Paul Pierce but Boston would not bite. And so the Nets stood pat. And that could be a big deal for the Nets in figuring out how to evaluate this season.

Sacramento Kings (19-36) vs. Atlanta Hawks (29-23)

Sacramento is indeed still fighting for the city. Kevin Johnson was on ESPN's Outside the Lines yesterday and he knows there is still a ways to go. One thing that appears to be working in Sacramento's favor is the reaction to the potential stadium plan. In Sacramento it is viewed as a revitalization project that complements downtown growth. In Seattle, there is still a fight to get the stadium built.

There were a lot of tough goodbyes on the Magic roster when the J.J. Redick trade was announced. The team was on the tarmac in Dallas getting set to travel to Memphis when news of the trade broke. Redick admitted that while he expected the deal would likely happen, it was still a very emotional moment for him to think he was leaving the only team and city he has played for in seven years.

Dallas Mavericks (24-29) vs. New Orleans Hornets (19-36)
8 p.m.

The Mavericks made a minor move in acquiring Anthony Morrow at the trade deadline. But he comes with some big praise. Coach Rick Carlisle called Morrow the best shooter he has seen aside from Chris Mullin. That might be going a bit far perhaps. But Morrow is a strong 3-point shooter and should help spread the floor if Dallas intends on making the Playoffs this year.

Minnesota Timberwolves (20-31) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (39-15)

It might have been a minor move, but it will rock international basketball. After Russia's strong performance in the 2012 Olympics, they not only will lose their coach but also their best player. Timberwolves forward Andrei Kirilenko announced his retirement from international competition, ending a very successful and decorated tenure in FIBA basketball.

Boston Celtics (28-26) vs. Phoenix Suns (18-37)
9 p.m.

There was definite talk that Kevin Garnett was going to get traded out west to the Clippers. That ended up not happening for a variety of reasons. One was Garnett being unwilling to waive his no trade clause. Another might have been the internal disagreements within the Clippers about the best move. In the end, Boston made a relatively minor move to bring in Jordan Crawford and inject some scoring. It will be interesting to see whether this veteran team can finish.

Portland Trail Blazers (25-29) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (26-29)
10:30 p.m.

With Mark Cuban jokingly saying the Lakers should amnesty Kobe Bryant to get away from crushing luxury tax debt, the Lakers were guaranteeing they would make the Playoffs. That is definitley the mindset Kobe Bryant has and his teammates — particularly Dwight Howard, Mike D'Antoni and Pau Gasol — concurred. So now the season starts anew… again. A big game against another Playoff-hungry team should give all the motivation necessary.
