A few weeks ago the Golden State Warriors unveiled the newest technology in performance apparel. At least to hit the NBA. The Warriors will wear jerseys with sleeves on them!
These jerseys may not be quite as aesthetically pleasing as they could be. The shorts are a different color yellow than the jerseys, which do look kind of slick I must say. Now the question is how will the players like them when they play a full game in them.
And the Warriors will have a true test for adidas to gather information from about this new technology.
So why these form-fitting uniforms? There seem to be a number of reasons. The uniforms absorb sweat better and allow the players more range of motion. At least theoretically. And apparently they will allow trainers to monitor injuries better with the ability to put sensors inside the uniform themselves.
That is pretty crazy technology.
Those conclusions and this ability to use the new technology from adidas will not be made after one game. But this could be a very intriguing night and a big one in the future of jersey technology and performance apparel.
Other Storylines to Watch
-It has been an emotional few weeks for Stephen Jackson. Jackson returned to the court last night for the Spurs for the first time in a week. He left the team after learning that his wife had miscarried. It is a very unfortunate tragedy and one that must have been very emotional and difficult for Jackson to return from. Jackson played a solid game against the Clippers last night as did his teammates. A good reprieve from an emotional time for him and his family.
-Harrison Barnes had an up-and-down career at North Carolina. He was the top prospect in the country and expected to do big things. It may have taken three years, but now he is doing big things. At this point in the season, Barnes has found his comfort in being aggressive and attacking for Golden State. They will need the rookie to continue to step up if they are to make the Playoffs.

Is there some discord in the Bulls' house? Derrick Rose's brother's odd comments criticizing Chicago for failing to make a trade at the deadline makes you wonder. While Derrick Rose distanced himself, it is hard to figure where these comments came from. Are they signs Rose does not like the direction of the team and the progress of rehab? Is it just a fan who thinks the stars path is the way to go. I mean, the Bulls had two All Stars this year. If Rose can't win with that, that is not Chicago's problem.

In Seattle, there is still a fight to get the stadium built.

A big game against another Playoff-hungry team should give all the motivation necessary.
