Sunday night, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett returned to Boston for the first time as Brooklyn Nets following their trades out of Boston last summer.
For both, it was clearly a very emotional night. Pierce, for one, spent the first 15 years of his career in Boston and set all kinds of team records. He holds a special place in Bostonians' hearts. Of course, he could not truly join the Celtics greats until he won his championship. And he needed Garnett's arrival to do that.
Despite Garnett's very successful stint in Minnesota for nearly a decade, Boston fans embraced Garnett as one of their own and as the team quickly won the title and brought glory back to Boston.
As the Nets returned to Boston, the fans showed their love to these former Celtics throughout the night. Including two touching video tributes (h/t Chuck of Red's Army):

It was obviously a very emotional night for both the players and the fans after that.
The Nets won the game 85-79, if that even matters on a night like that.
