Once again, the NBA received much criticism for the annual dunk contest.
This year in New Orleans, the league changed the format with a free style portion of the event along with "battle" rounds. Needless to say, it was pretty much a snooze-fest until John Wall stepped on the court and finally got the crowd off their seats.
However, the D-League put on their version of the dunk contest and Tony Mitchell of Fort Wayne connected on an alley-oop pass from his teammate… who was way, way, way, way up in the stands.
Check out this amazing dunk which will leave you wondering why don't THESE guys do the dunk contest? The D-Leaguers seem to be able to bring it more so than the NBA players.
