Former NBA player Vlade Divac had emergency stomach surgery recently in his home country of Serbia.
Although reports say it was not life-threatening, the reason for the surgery was not disclosed.
Doctors said Saturday in a statement that Divac was admitted to a Belgrade hospital after feeling “strong pains in his stomach.”
The statement said his life was not threatened. It did not specify his exact health problem.
Divac played in the NBA from 1989-1998, and 1999-2005 mainly playing for the Lakers and Kings.
Divac is one of six players in NBA history to record 13,000 points, 9,000 rebounds, 3,000 assists and 1,500 blocked shots. He retired from the game in 2005.
