Whoops!
Recently, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, took in Cavs game and afterwards, got to meet the “King” himself, LeBron James.
However, during a photo-op, James put his arm around Kate which apparently is something one doesn’t do overseas. In fact, it’s a huge breach of etiquette.

“Although I am sure the Duchess of Cambridge won’t have worried about it, Mr James should not have put his arm around her,” Hanson observed. “Americans are much more tactile than we Brits and this is another example of an American being too touchy feely with British royalty. You’d have think they’d have learned by now.”
“A shower would have been preferable but he had just finished a game,” Hanson continued. “So even more reason for him not have opened his pits by lifting his arm and placing it around Her Royal Highness!”
Ultimately, it was an innocent oversight by James and he meant no disrespect.
It’s easy to not know about customs outside the USA and though this won’t cause relations between the USA and Britain to fall apart, it goes to show you why other countries overeas may view Americans like noisy brutes.
Now go take a shower James!
