TNT’s Kevin Harlan does his best Bane impression

Time to nerd it up here on Crossover. During last night’s Spurs-Heat tussle, big man Aron Baynes blocked a Dwayne Wade shot with authority leading to TNT’s TV announcer Kevin Harlan doing his best “Bane” impression. You know Bane! The DC character made famous by actor Tom Hardy in “The Dark Knight Rises” with his […]

Rookie of the Year: Should There Be A Winner?

The regular season is in its last couple of weeks, which means it’s award season. It’s a tight race for many of the awards this year, but one of the handouts might be close for the wrong reason. The Rookie of the Year, who will win it? It took me awhile to figure out who […]

This is the worst photo Thunder fans don’t want to see

Well this pretty much sums up OKC’s season. Thunder’s Kevin Durant is done for the season after having surgery on his foot, which means the chances of OKC having a deep postseason run (or even making the postseason) is slim. So to add more salt on the wound of OKC fans, here is an Instagram […]

Kings ready to shut down Cousins

With nine games left in the season, the Sacramento Kings are strongly considering shutting down star center DeMarcus Cousins. The Kings aren’t even close to making the playoffs with a 26-47 record in the West so there’s no reason to risk more injuries to Cousins and take the chance of a harsher injury that could […]

Atlanta’s Korver was En Fuego

How did he not win the 2015 NBA Three-Point Shootout? The Hawks’ Kyle Korver put on a shooting display from deep versus the Bucks as he nailed four three-pointers in a row. That’s an instant 12 points in a row for the Hawks. Whether it was from straight on, from the corners, or with a […]

Andrew Wiggins really likes to posterize Utah’s Gobert

So Utah’s Rudy Gobert ego might be in shambles right now courtesy of Wolves’ Andrew Wiggins. As if getting posterized once was bad enough, Gobert got smashed on twice by Wiggins in the same game and the last dunk was simply filthy. Check out the big man getting abused by Wiggins.

The East’s Race for 8th: Who Has the Edge?

The race for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference is the NBA’s most tightly contested postseason race as four teams sit within a game and a half of the No. 8 spot. The race isn’t one that likely will have championship implications as each of the four teams are well below the .500 […]

Tim Duncan, Defensive Player of the Year, and weaving award narratives

Let me start by saying Tim Duncan has been my favorite basketball player since I was flipping through Sports Illustrated Kids magazine each month as a boy. A life size poster of Timmy presides over my bed at my parent’s house, his simple expression and broad shoulders guarding my bedroom like a heavy-set bouncer at […]

Blake Griffin with the 180 degree… block?

Clippers’ Blake Griffin is know for dunking the ball and even breaking out the 180 degree block from time to time. But how about a 180 degree block from Blake! Well Griffin did just that versus Boston’s Jonas Jerebko as he was going up for a layup and though he was in the clear for an […]

Examining the Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Lakers Rumors

In a recent episode of ESPN’s Brian Windhorst’s Cleveland Cavaliers podcast “Hey Windy!”, which airs on ESPN Cleveland, Windhorst breathed new life into the Kevin-Love-and-Russell-Westbrook-are-going-to-team-up-in-Los-Angeles rumor where he said the following: “Love enjoys Westbrook. they have a relationship. there’s a conspiracy theory that exists out there that Kevin Love will go to the Lakers this […]

Sauce Castillo’s legend grows with dunk over Ajinca

The Kings’ Sauce Castillo’s (formerly known as Nik Stauskas) legend grew ten-fold against the Pelicans as Sauce dipped the Pelicans’ Alexis Ajinça into some of his dunk sauce that sent a message to the rest of the NBA’s big men… YOU DON’T MESS WITH SAUCE! Check out Sauce dropping the hammer on Ajinca.

OKC’s Adams gets balled in the balls

As if getting shoved aside and falling on the court wasn’t bad enough, OKC’s Steven Adams received some injury on top of insult. Utah’s Rodney Hood was en route to the rim when Adams tried to defend him. Of course, Hood beats him off the dribble, makes contact with Adams, and falls right to the […]

Video: Enes Kanter Gets Showered with Boo’s in Return to Utah, Loves It

There is nothing I love more than a good villain, because without them, the world would be pretty boring. With that said, when Enes Kanter kinda-sorta force his way out of Utah at the NBA Trade Deadline this year, one might not expect the Salt Lake City faithful to welcome back the former Kentucky Wildcat […]
