Hornets Day Video: Hornets win 2012 NBA lottery

The New Orleans Hornets have had a relatively short history in the NBA since moving from Charlotte and the franchise has experienced it's fair share of ups and downs.

They came within one game of the Western Conference Finals in 2008 against the Spurs, saw one of the best point guards leave to the Clippers, and felt the blow of Hurricane Katrina. Indeed it has been a turbulent time in New Orleans but this past summer, the franchise's fortunes may have turned for the best.

With one ping-pong ball and an announcement by NBA's Adam Silver, the Hornets won the 2012 NBA Lottery which netted them big man Anthony Davis which may mark the beginning of a new winning era in New Orleans.

Will Anthony Davis win rookie of the year? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter by using the hashtag #HornetsDay.
