2013 NBA All-Star Game Headed To The Great State Of Texas

The NBA lockout is still marching on but it hasn’t stopped the NBA from planning the 2013 NBA All-Star game. According to usatoday.com, Houston, Texas will play host to the event:

Tere Perry, public relations manager at the Hilton Americas hotel, confirmed that the hotel has been informed that the All-Star game and the events surrounding it are coming to Houston in February 2013. The hotel is across the street from the Toyota Center, the home of the Rockets, where the game was played in 2006.

They say things are bigger in Texas, so expect this All-Star game to be larger than life. And with some predicting this lockout could kill the upcoming NBA season (just like the 1999 lockout killed that season’s All-Star game) the 2013 All-Star event could be one huge spectacle. This will mark the third time Houston will host the event – in 1989 and 2006 being the other years.

It is also reported, the NBA nor the Rockets have commented on this report.
