Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh takes a lot of flack from the masses. Whether it’s the casual NBA fan, die-hard Heat fans or ESPN’s Skip Bayless, Bosh is constantly in the hot-seat since joining Dwayne Wade and LeBron James.
From verbal shots that he is soft, the weak link in Miami’s “Big 3” and much more, Bosh certainly has had his fair share of criticism — especially from Bayless who refers to him as “Bosh Spice.”
So what would happen if Bosh and Bayless came face-to-face? Turned out to be Bayless being a complete tool and not respecting Bosh’s request to stop putting down his surname and respect his family.
First, when a man asks you to stop using his name in a derogatory manner you do it. You apologize for your mistake, shake hands, and move on and not continue using a man’s name unjustly.
So what does Bayless do? Continue to berate Bosh on national TV, be unapologetic, say “Bosh Spice” right in Bosh’s face, and just be an all around jackass.
Here Bosh calmly asks Bayless to stop disrespecting his family but no, it falls on deaf ears.
Second, I got nothing wrong with Skip criticizing a player’s performance, that’s what he does for a living. But, as the co-host says in the video, the name does infer Bosh is a female and thus taking a shot at Bosh’s masculinity is not cool.
Call him soft, a weak link, whatever but to ignore a man’s request to ease up on the name-calling is not very gentlemanly. And to say Bosh hold the keys to make Bayless stop calling him “Bosh Spice” is a bit much.
Kudos to Bosh for keeping his cool in the whole confrontation. And just stop Bayless. Respect the man’s request.
