With the NBA lockout raging on and players weighing their options on what to do should the lockout eat into the upcoming season, perhaps New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony can forgo playing overseas and take his talents to Wall Street.
Anthony took part in a charity fund raiser to commemorate 9-11. The event was to allow celebrities to make trades with the proceeds going towards 9-11 charities.
It’s a good thing he had a professional trader by his side. From the looks of things, Melo had no clue what was going on. Anthony ended up trading $260 million in overnight dollars. You know, maybe he fits right in considering the current state of the US economy.
Regardless, kudos to Anthony for taking part in a worthy charity event.
