Video: Highlights From Deron Williams’ 50-Point Outburst

So remember how New Jersey Nets’ Deron Williams adjustment to playing overseas with Turkish team Besiktas was highly scrutinized? Well Williams sure silenced some of those naysayers, at least for one game.

Williams scored 50 points as Besiktas beat BG Gottingen, 105-94 at the EuroChallenge. Williams scored those 50 points off 17/23 from the field and 7/10 from the three-point line, and 9/11 from the free-throw line. With the win, Besiktas now improves to 3-0 at the EuroChallenge.

And this 50-point outburst does reflect Williams stepping up his game for Besiktas.

In six games in the Turkish League, Williams averaged 20.5 points, 54.3% from the field, and 46.3% from the three-point line in 33.2 minutes. At the EuroChallenge, in three games he is averaging 33.7 points, 62.5% from the field, and 64% from the three-point line in 34.7 minutes.

It does appear Williams might be settling in with his new team.
