Video: Knicks’ Melo, Amar’e Take Sesame Street

Need further proof the NBA lockout needs to end soon?

New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Soudemire are set to make an appearance on the children’s show Sesame Street to teach the kids the meaning of the word “compare.” And by the looks of the video below (via Backyard Sports) it seems Amar’e doesn’t care for Grover.

Seriously look. Melo is all smiles when Grover introduces himself but not Amar’e. Amar’e doesn’t even acknowledge Grover’s presence or even crack a smile for the kids watching.

Oh and Amar’e keeps shunning Grover. When Grover jokingly says he knows what the word “compares” means, Amar’e just gives the camera that “Grover is full of it” look.

So check out this scene from Sesame Street with Melo and Amar’e which really should be brought to you by the letters “N” and “D” for “No defense” with these two players on the show.
