Every morning, we will give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day.
They call him "Big Al" but on this particular play during last night's Celtics-Jazz game, Al Jefferson was reduced to "Little Al" by Jeff Green.
Let's set it up…
The scene: TD Garden, Boston, MA.
The players: Jeff Green, Al Jefferson
The "crime:" 4th quarter of play, Green goes to the basket and simply "murders" Jefferson with one nasty facial.
The result: Green posterized Jefferson leading to some taunting at the end and a technical called on Green. However, how can you not expect Green to bask in this absolutely filthy dunk (h/t Red's Army).
2: Heat's struggles
The Miami Heat are on their first big road trip of the year and their 6-3 record is good but there still feels something off with the defending champs.
The Clippers defeated the Heat 107-100 and looked good doing it relying on Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Jamal Crawford to topple the defending champions. The Clippers not only scored more than 100 points, but also shot 48.6 percent.
The bad news for the Heat is the defense is really struggling. After finishing fourth in both defensive rating and points allowed per game, This year, Miami is 28th in both categories giving up both more than 100 points per game and more than 1.0 point per possession.
Who else misses Joel Anthony?
3: HIGHLIGHTS!!!
