Video: Kyle Singler is a champion

This one is for all you Detroit Pistons and Kyle Singler fans.

Singler, who was drafted by the Pistons in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft, elected to play in Spain during the NBA lockout but when the lockout ended, Singler chose to stay in Spain and play the entire season for Real Madrid.

And from the looks of things, it is going well for Singler.

Recently, Singler and Real Madrid won the 2012 Copa Del Rey (King’s Cup) for the first time in 19 years. He poured in four points in 15 minutes of play as Real Madrid defeated their rival Barcelona in convincing fashion, 91-74. And for Pistons fans and coaching staff, this bodes well for the future of the franchise.

Singler is developing quite a nice game and is playing in one of the more competitive Spanish leagues. He is averaging 10.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in the Liga ACB.

From displaying all-around hustle, a deft shooting stroke, ability to move without the ball, a post-game, can play defense, and more, should Singler return to the NBA next season, the Pistons might have drafted a steal late in the second round of the draft. Not to mention, after winning a championship, he will bring that championship spirit to Detroit and be a perfect compliment to center Greg Monroe in the paint.

Check out highlights of Kyle in action throughout the Copa Del Rey. It’s enough to make Pistons fan drool with anticipation about him wearing a Detroit uniform.
