San Antonio Spurs' Gregg Popovich is gruff, surly, and has a unique sense of humor. When it comes to addressing the media, he can also be quite stand-offish and a man of few words and patience.
Ask a ridiculous question, get a sarcastic response enough to make you question your own IQ. It's known as getting "Pop'd."
CBS Sports' Matt Moore dared to venture out of the basketball-type questioning realm at the Spurs-Nuggets preseason game and asked Pop to weigh in on the U.S. Government shutdown.
Bracing for the worse, Moore told me he was expecting to get "Pop'd." Needless to say, Pop rolled with it and gave us his many thoughts on the situation including calling it "silly" and putting in front that it all seems like a bunch of children fighting over toys. (h/t Project Spurs).
