Over the weekend, Grant Hill called it a career as the Clippers announced he was retiring from the NBA after 19 seasons.
“The entire Clippers organization wants to congratulate Grant on an incredible career,” Clippers Vice President of Basketball Operations Gary Sacks said. “For 19 years, Grant has always been the embodiment of class, a true professional and not only one of the best players – but one of the finest individuals I have been around. We were fortunate to have Grant with us last season, and we wish him all the best in his next endeavor.”
During his prime and before the devastating knee injuries, Hill was one of the most feared players. His best seasons were with the Pistons where he could score at will, defend multiple positions and take it to the rim at ease.
He would go on to play with the Magic, Suns and finally with the Clippers and though he never won an NBA title, he definitely had a Hall of Fame career.
