Little kid calls out Shaq for disrespecting Houston

A lot of civic pride gets wrapped up into these things we call NBA teams. Maybe that is why we get so emotional when players leave because it is like they are betraying the entire city.

That is something Dwight Howard knows having left Orlando after eight years and Los Angeles after one tumultuous year.

Yet, he is Houston's now and the city is embracing him as the conquering hero, ready to defend him — and by extension — their city to the bitter end. Just like this kid did at the Howard signing announcement/celebration this past weekend in response to Shaquille O'Neal's constant criticism of Howard and his terming Houston as a "little city":

I would bet this kid will be among the first to burn his Howard jersey when Howard inevitably leaves and betrays his latest city. Sigh.
