Dwyane Wade sitcom is coming

Dwyane Wade will miss his second straight game with a knee injury tonight in Orlando.

That is part of life with Wade. And it will make one hell of an episode as Wade sits around the locker room with an ice pack on his knee waiting for the game to end. Can you imagine that episode as s itcom and all the hijinx Wade could get into?

You will not have to imagine much longer.

FOX is reportedly working with Wade to develop a sitcom based on his life as a single father and an NBA player. This thing is REAL and it is actually happening according to Wade (h/t Charlie McCarthy of Fox Sports Florida):

I don't know. It's hard. I have to sit down with the powers that be and come up with that list. It's hard to look out there and say, 'Who can play me?' I just want somebody that's good."

The show will be called Three the Hard Way and will be based on Wade's book, Father First.

We have all seen Wade being a father in several phone commercials starring his kids. They seem to have great fun. But could it carry a hit sitcom?

Wade is right, some nice star power playing the character of Daryl Wade would sure be helpful. A couple of cute kids — think Jerry Maguire cute — would help a bunch too. I do not know if they will get into the issues of wacked-out groupies or some of the darker sides of the NBA.

There are a lot of ways to take this. Or it could be a complete flop.
