Standing at 7-foot-2 and weighing in at 278 lbs., Pacers' Roy Hibbert is one of the more intimidating centers in the NBA.
This season, through five game he is averaging 9 rebounds and a whopping 5.2 blocks per game. 5.2 blocks people! If he keeps this up, he might be the 2013-14 NBA Defensive Player of the Year and that is exactly what big Roy has his eyes set on.
Hibbert recently tweeted that he is shooting for the NBA's best defender.
People act like I can't have individual goals. I didn't talk about it in the past. Well now I am. I WANT DPoY. That's gonna help my team win

A bold statement indeed but it might be hard to not give him the early-season nod.
Hibbert is at least talking the talk and is not apologizing for his statement. However, it is just five games into the new season and he still has a long way to go to solidifying himself at the DPOY.
