Lamar Odom is the fascination of the celebrity-infused Los Angeles culture. Not only was he the key cog to two championships in the purple and gold of the Lakers, but he is also a member of the Kardashian family. With Kim Kardashian and Kanye West getting engaged, Odom's absence from their engagement party was noticeable — and not because he is 6-foot-9.
The reports have been flying wildly from TMZ about Odom's potential cocaine abuse and his marital problems with Khloe Kardashian. None of them seem to be very substantiated.
So TMZ did what it always does, ambushes their primary source to try to get some form of comment.
Lamar Odom is a wily one and he turned the tables on this unsuspecting TMZ reporter:
Yeah, I do not necessarily care whether Odom was invited or not to Kanye and Kim's engagement party. Really, that is so freaking stupid.
Odom's ettiquette lesson though? A hug and an introduction are good advice for any journalist. Interviewing the reporter on camera? Well, that is just Lamar Odom. I think.
Note: I have no clue what state Odom was in when this encounter occurred.
Lamar Odom is currently out of the league after playing 82 games last season with the Clippers. He averaged a career-low 4.0 points per game and grabbed 5.9 rebounds per game. He may not be the same player he was during those championship runs, but you would think he could still contribute.
If not on the court, then at least in press attention.
