Oklahoma City tops Fenerbahce in preseason opener

Yes, that is basketball you see on NBATV today. Real life basketball. With uniforms, starting lineups, fans, the whole thing!

OK, maybe it is just preseason basketball. But an NBA team played another professional team for the first time this season as the Thunder opened play against Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul, Turkey. And there was some Kevin Durant-age.

That would be Kevin Durant with 24 points and eight rebounds on 9-for-18 shooting in a 95-82 win over the perennial Euroleague participants and Turkish champions. Oklahoma City's offense was certainly on a role shooting 48.6 percent. As usual, Oklahoma City had its share of turnovers for its first preseason game. Twenty to be exact.

Nets prospect Bojan Bogdanovic scored 19 points and Eurobasket wunderkid Bo McCalebb had 13 points.

Ferbahce was game early on, but the Thunder overwhelmed with their talent and cruised to a victory despite it being their first competitive game. Well, maybe not competitive. It was a preseason contest.

The Thunder are one of several teams practicing overseas. Other games going on tonight include the Bulls playing the Pacers and the Warriors playing the Lakers. Yes, Derrick Rose is playing.
