Pearl Jam frontman jealous of Bobcats

Pearl Jam is one of the surviving bands of the Seattle grunge area. They are still touring strong and one of the most famous and popular bands around.

They are big Sonics fans, and losing the team to Oklahoma City hurt. It hurts so much six years later that Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder went off on the Thunder and their move from Seattle in a somewhat comical expletive-laced rant during a show in Charlotte last week.

Worse yet, Vedder admitted his band has not been through Charlotte the last decade because of his jealousy of the Bobcats. Gasp! h/t Erik Horne of The Oklahoman:

He made light of the fact that Pearl Jam hadn't been through Charlotte in 10 years: 'To be honest, we might be a bit upset because you have a basketball team and we don't.'

It takes a lot of hurt to be jealous of the Bobcats. I mean, the Bobcats have been in the league 10 years and have just one Playoff appearance. They have finished better than .500 just once. This is a bad franchise that still does not seem to have any direction.

That is almost a franchise you want some robber baron to take away from you.

Alas, this will not help Pearl Jam get his beloved Sonics back.

Their tour rolls into Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on Nov. 16.
