Talk about a sign your time in the NBA might be over.
Lakers guard Steve Nash is old by NBA standards at 40 years old. While many players might be well into retirement or riding the bench, Nash still feels he has what it takes to produce on the NBA level but after hurting his back carrying bags, it might be time for him to call it a day.
Nash hurt his back carrying bags today, Byron Scott said. Did not practice. Wouldn't count on him playing Thursday vs. Utah.

Maybe he just twisted his back and tweaked it. It has happened to me but I am not 40 years old… yet.
However, if this is indicative of something bigger, like his body is no longer what it used to be, then he needs to really think about retirement before he does something worse to injure himself.
I get it. Walking away from the game he loves is tough. But Nash has nothing more to prove.
He may not have won a title, but he has NBA MVP honors to his name, been an NBA All-Star many times and has dazzled fans for many seasons.
Nash will go down as one of the best point guards ever to play in the NBA. Let’s remember him as such instead of him being carried off the court after further injuring his back or something worse.
