George Karl to Sacramento?

With the Sacramento Kings parting ways with Michael Malone it seems that the city of Sacramento has fully committed to recruiting George Karl.

In a Tweet Karl posted earlier this morning…

100% – 50% is quite impressive, but a timetable was never given. My grandfather often leaves his phone on for extended periods of time and wonders, “how in the world the phone died so quickly.” It’s called a phone charger, George.

After George Karl won 2013 Coach of the Year, the Nuggets were quick to fire him. Currently Karl is an on-air analyst for ESPN, and by his Twitter Avatar Karl appears to take things seriously.

The biggest improvement the Kings could make, besides trading Rudy Gay, is to hire George Karl to coach their club.

GVinny Del Negro has also appeared as a candidate for the head-coaching job. I’m not sure that hire makes much sense considering the Kings are in dire need of an X’s and O’s type of coach and Del Negro is neither.

For now, Ty Corbin will attempt to conduct this derailing train. After all, Corbin did a great job in Utah, right?
