T-Mac hasn't been in the NBA since last year's playoffs, but he's still managing to make news |
It is no secret the Milwaukee Bucks are having a bad season. Larry Drew's team is currently sitting at 8-36, good for a .182 winning percentage and last place in the entire NBA, and has had to deal with an obscene amount of injuries to key players and a surprising lack of production from others.
So, with all of this information, it is not very shocking that when Milwaukee played the Los Angeles Clippers, a 32-15 team, the Bucks got absolutely shellacked, losing 114-86 at home a few nights ago. For most basketball followers, a game with such a result between those two teams would not look too abnormal, and a lot of fans would glance at the box score, nod in agreement/belief, and move on to more interesting games.
However, most basketball followers are not former All-Star and scoring champion Tracy McGrady, who on Twitter had his comments to say about the woeful team from Wisconsin.
From @Real_T_Mac via Sheridan Hoops: "I seriously think Mt Zion Christian can beat the Milwaukee Bucks right now. #immediatechange"
Those are some strong words from McGrady, who went to Mount Zion Christian Academy (Durham, NC) for his senior year of high school the year before he was drafted ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors.
We always hear about top college basketball teams like Kentucky, Duke, and the like in terms of their chance at taking down the NBA's worst, but a high school team? T-Mac's loyalty to his alma mater is admirable, but if the Bucks and Mt. Zion were to play against each other, Milwaukee would win that game by around 80 points, and that would be an understatement.
Stay funny, T-Mac.
