Top 5 most expensive games for Mavericks tickets

The Dallas Mavericks enter the 2014-15 season after falling just short of defeating the San Antonio Spurs in the 2014 NBA playoffs. In fact, the Mavs took the eventual champions to seven games and by far were the most difficult team for San Antonio to eliminate in last year’s playoffs.

With that oh-so-close success of last year in the rear view mirror, Mavericks fans are looking to see their team play this season. Below is a breakdown of the top five most in-demand games for Dallas this season, based on the average ticket price for each game on the secondary market.

December 26, 2014 vs. Los Angeles Lakers | Average Ticket Price = $222 | Get-in Ticket Price = $33

A visit from Kobe Bryant is the most expensive game on the Dallas schedule this season with an average ticket price of $222. Nonetheless, the get-in price is only $33 with two games later on this list currently having the cheapest ticket available at a higher level. This is also the second most expensive game on the year for Mavericks suites, according to SuiteHop, with luxury suites ranging from $40-650 more expensive.

March 10, 2015 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers | Average Ticket Price = $218 | Get-in Ticket Price = $43

LeBron James will visit on March 10 for what may ultimately end up being the most expensive game on the schedule. The get-in price is currently $43, the highest of any Mavericks game on the year. And this is the most expensive game for suites with a 40-60percent premium on all luxury boxes, according to SuiteHop. Nonetheless, nothing exceeds the $25,575 price tag for Cavs suites to their opening night October 30 vs. the Knicks. That takes the prize for most expensive NBA suite based on data from SuiteHop.

December 28, 2014 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder | Average Ticket Price = $206 | Get-in Ticket Price = $30

The Thunder had quite a blow early this preseason with the announcement of an injury to star Kevin Durant. Ticket prices for this game may take a similar blow if Durant cannot suit up, though expect increases if this is one of the first few games he returns to the hardwood.

December 20, 2014 vs. San Antonio Spurs | Average Ticket Price = $204 | Get-in Ticket Price = $35

The next two games are meetings with the San Antonio Spurs as the battle for Texas supremacy continues to wage on between these two organizations. The Rockets may claim they should be involved as well, but it is clear Dallas and San Antonio have been the most accomplished Texan teams over the past decade.

March 24, 2015 vs. San Antonio Spurs | Average Ticket Price = $179 | Get-in Ticket Price = $26

The fifth most expensive game has an average price well below $200 currently, at only $179. Nonetheless, expect prices to fluctuate if this game has a lot of significance as both teams enter the final push before the playoffs.
