Clippers, Rockets tickets in high demand

The Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets are meeting in the Western Conference semifinals – and it could be one of the most compelling playoff series in quite some time. Fans are anticipating a compelling series, as evidenced by ticket prices for the remaining games in the series.

Game 3 will take place on Friday, May 8, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. According to data from TicketNetwork’s exchange, the average ticket price is $216. Fans can get in the door for $82. Game 3 is the first game at home in this series for the Clippers – and the Los Angeles fans are eager to get to the Staples Center on Friday night.

The series will remain in Los Angeles for Game 4, which will take place on Mother’s Day – May 10. Fans have paid an average of $159 for tickets to Game 4, which could potentially setup a series-clinching Game 5 – if either Los Angeles or Houston wins both games 3 and 4. Clippers or Rockets fans can get in the door for $73.

Rockets fans are ready for the series to shift back to Houston for Game 5. The average price paid to see Game 5 at the Toyota Center is $210, and fans can get in for as little as $82.

In all likelihood, the series will go at least six games – and quite possibly seven. Game 6 prices aren’t too dissimilar from Game 3. Like Game 3, Game 6 will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and tickets have sold for an average of $215 – just $1 less than Game 3. Clippers, or displaced Rockets fans, can get into Game 6 for $82.

Naturally, a winner-take-all Game 7 has the most interest from fans. If Game 7 occurs, it will take place on Sunday, May 17 in Houston – and demand is extremely high for tickets. Fans have paid an average of $576 for Game 7 tickets. The get-in price for Game 7 is $152.

With stars like James Harden, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul (if healthy) taking the court, fans will see some of the very best basketball the NBA has to offer.
