Does Anyone Like Kendrick Perkins?

Kendrick Perkins, the 27th pick overall in 2003 was sent to Boston where is career began to bloom from 2008-2011. During the 2011 season the NBA champion was shipped to Oklahoma City. Since then it seems as if the big man from Texas can’t catch a break.

When most players come under scrutiny they let their game do the talk. Unfortunately for Kendrick Perkins, there is not much to talk about.

It even seems as if the Thunder tried to send Perkins a message last season when they took “team” selfies.

The obvious answer to the question, does anyone like Kendrick Perkins, is no. Many players are not fans of his physical, foul-heavy game. He may not be the defensive force he once was, but he made a name for himself in Boston as an old-school bruiser. Heck, Perkins was one of the few players that could actually give Dwight Howard some trouble when he used to play for the Magic. A big man like that is few and far between. That’s why, at the time, the Thunder trading for Perkins seemed like the best option to make them a legitimate playoff threat. It worked, for a little bit.

Now even though it seems like not a single Kendrick Perkins exists on this planet. I’m sure Kendrick Perkins’ still has one fan. I’ll put big money on his most die-hard fan, like most of us, is his mother. She would never leave him out of a family selfie. You go Momma Perkins! Someone has to love that big grizzly man.
