Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard underwent an MRI on his right knee and the results were not good.
Dwight Howard underwent an MRI on Wednesday. Evaluation revealed edema in right knee. Howard will not travel w/ team to Boston & Detroit.

For those that don’t know, an edema is a swelling or enlargement of organs, skin, or other body parts often caused by a buildup of fluids in the tissues. The amount of time he would miss is unknown, but that doesn’t bode well for the Rockets if Howard’s injury takes him out to the All-Star break.
