Hornets Acquire Mo Williams

Charlotte is currently tied for the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 22-29 and is determined to not just make the playoffs this year, but earn their first playoff win in 13 years. According to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, Charlotte was involved in a trade that headlined veteran Timberwolves point guard Mo Williams.

With the addition of Mo Williams, the Hornets can be comfortable at the point guard position while their starting point guard, Kemba Walker, is sidelined another three weeks because of knee surgery. The acquisition also allows the turnover prone Lance Stephenson to go back to his natural position, shooting guard.

Though Mo Williams is 32 years of age, he still feels he has a lot to give on and off the court.

Mo Williams was averaging 12.2 points and 6.4 assists for the Timberwolves, and showed in January he still has the ability to have an explosive night by scoring 52 points.
