Looking at OKC’s top (and bottom) games of December

How much do the Oklahoma City Thunder miss Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook? Try, a lot.

Oklahoma City has struggled to get anything going so far in 2014-15, and at the time of this article are a putrid 3-10. It does not look good and it should continue until the Thunder get their superstars back.

But they will be back, and it could happen sooner than many think. The return of both Durant and Westbrook will be much anticipated and it could quickly open the floodgates for the Thunder to storm back in a fairly wide open Northwest division. Only the Portland Trail Blazers (first place at 8-3) have a winning record, which could still leave the door open to Oklahoma City getting all the way back to the top of the division.

It may take a while, but good times are on their way. They could come as early as December, too, with Westbrook (hand) already nearing his return and Durant (foot) not all that far off, either.

With a potentially magical month awaiting Thunder fans, let us take a look at Oklahoma City’s cheapest and most expensive games in December and see how they might fare:

Cheapest – @ New Orleans Pelicans (12/2/14) | Avg: $80 | Get-in: $8

Thunder vs Pelicans tickets are the cheapest of all the Thunder’s games in December and comes in a nice road battle with The Brow in New Orleans.

Getting Durant back would be the cherry on top for this matchup, but that is pretty unlikely. At least Westbrook is back.

Either way, the Thunder should have a chance in this one if they have at least one of their stars back on the court.

Most Expensive – VS. Cleveland Cavaliers (12/11/14) | Avg: $300.61 | Get-in: $34

Thunder tickets are pretty pricey in this one ($100 over the season average), but this is what happens when LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving come to town. It should be a classic showdown, but it will only return maximum value if both Westbrook and Durant are back and healthy.

They certainly could be, and if they are, this should make for a back and forth shootout.
