The Dallas Mavericks owner has never minced his words and has not always been eloquent with them either. This time is no different as he went on “The Fred Roggin Show” and proceeded to wish the worst the Lakers.
“As far as the Lakers, I think there’s gonna be a lot of teams that are going to be focusing and saying, ‘Look, I’ve got a ton of cap room — Free Agent A, B and C, why don’t you guys come together and come play for me.’ And L.A. has always been considered a destination, so maybe they see it as a valid strategy, I don’t know. But you know me, Fred, personally I just hope they suck forever.”
Cuban also said he wouldn’t be surprised to see Kobe Bryant play well into his 40’s. Perhaps that’s a warning to future free agent, maybe not. Cuban is one mischievous dude and he’s going to use any edge he can find to attract free agents or at the very least, detract them from L.A.
