The NBA sold out of Kristaps Porzingis jerseys

New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis is winning the hearts of the fans that so loudly booed him on NBA Draft night back in June.

After having a 29 point, 11 rebound outburst against the Charlotte Hornets, Porzinigis’ jersey has apparently sold out:

Porzingis has solidified his place in the hearts of New Yorkers with his performances through just 12 games of his rookie year. Last week, Porzingis nearly knocked down a game-winner, but was off by just 0.1 seconds. Yet, fans still rallied around him for his effort.

So far this season, Porzingis is averaging 12.8 points per game, along with 8.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. While many people weren’t sure how the 7-foot-3 Latvian’s game would transfer to the NBA, it seems it’s going just fine.

Porzingis will really earn some praise if he can help lead the Knicks past the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road Friday night against two of the league’s best in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Either way, the guy is off to a great start.
