Report: Heat interested in Brook Lopez

Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez has been a potential trade piece for what seems like years now and the Miami Heat have shown interest in him now. The Nets are talking to several teams about moving the seven-footer who is averaging 14.7 points and 6.4 rebounds through 28 games this season, including 19 starts. The 26-year-old has spent his entire NBA career (all of seven years) with the Nets and has one more year left on his contract. He will get $16.7 million next year before he becomes a free agent in 2016. The Nets are currently 16-23 after losing to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.
