Sacramento Kings Looking To Keep Pace For Final Playoff Spot In The West

In search of their first playoff appearance since 2006, the Sacramento Kings, who have a busy upcoming week, are in the thick of things in the Western Conference standings. George Karl, the ninth man to coach Sacramento in just over a decade, seems to have his scuffle with DeMarcus Cousins in the past, as the team is knocking on the door of a playoff spot about midway through the season.

1/25/15 vs. Charlotte Hornets | Avg. Price: $75.58 | Get-in Price: $12 on primary market

The Kings have a tough road ahead after they host the Charlotte Hornets, who they lost to earlier this season in overtime. Cousins, who is among the best in the league in scoring, led the team with 30 points, but Kemba Walker’s 39 points were too much for Sacramento to handle. You can get your Sacramento Kings tickets against the Hornets at Sleep Train Arena for as low as $12 per ticket, which is actually cheaper than the secondary market for this game. Not only will the Kings be looking to seek revenge against the Hornets on Monday, but they will also be looking to do the same against the Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies this week.

The Kings, who have been playing better on the road recently, start their three-game road trip in Portland. In their first meeting of the season against the Trail Blazers, Cousins did not get much help, as he put up a game-high 36 points in his team’s 98-94 loss near the end of 2015. The only other Sacramento players to score in double figures were Omri Casspi and Darren Collison, who scored 14 and 10 points, respectively.

1/28/15 at New Orleans Pelicans | Avg. Price: $40 | Get-in Price: $3 on secondary market

After just one day off, the Kings take on the Pelicans, who Sacramento lost to earlier in January, 109-97. Eric Gordon and Anthony Davis combined for 48 points, so the Kings will look to bring that total down on Thursday. Cousins and Rajon Rondo, who each rank among the best in the league in double-doubles, each registered one in the contest. They will look to add to their totals on Thursday at the Smoothie King Center and on Saturday at the FedExForum.

1/30/15 at Memphis Grizzlies | Avg. Price: $79.68 | Get-in Price: $8 on secondary market

Earlier in the season, the Kings lost, 103-89, to the Grizzlies. Cousins was inactive for that game, so he will be sure to help the offensive effort. Memphis outscored Sacramento, 25-11, in the second quarter of that contest. If the Kings are going to get revenge against the Grizzlies, then they cannot falter before halftime.
