Thomas Robinson has only been in the league since 2012, but he’s already become a journeyman. He was taken fifth overall in 2012’s NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings, but was dealt to Houston later that season. Robinson was then traded that offseason to Portland where has had a chance to prosper, but was traded to Denver right before this season’s trade deadline. Denver quickly released him and the 76ers have now claimed him off the waivers according to Marc Stein. Interestingly, his salary will now put the 76ers over the cap.
And claiming Thomas Robinson, if they do in 20 mins, would take Sixers from $3,034,872 UNDER salary floor to OVER. Robinson makes $3,678,360
