The past week, we’ve broken down the number of weekend back-to-backs (defined as Saturday-Sunday or Sunday-Monday) for all 30 NBA teams, separating our research by division.
We’re almost at the end of this project, but we have two more installments left. We shift into an overview of this topic, split into two parts.
In part two, you’ll get a breakdown of how various weekend back-to-backs originated with home-team or road-team locations, and if evident scheduling conflicts existed for the local team or population (or both). Today is a simpler overview — we provide the accumulated numbers for both the weekend back-to-backs themselves, and for the numbers of poorly handled or properly handled ones.
