Blake Griffin Plays Ping Pong, Hilarity Ensues

This Blake Griffin guy gets me every time.  My favorite line in the video below is when he’s discussing the first win of his Ping Pong career.  He tilted the table up in that match and competed against himself, he said.

In the featured match below he is competing against Soo Yeon Lee, Professional Ping Pong Player.

Enjoy:

It’s worth noting that Soo Yeon Lee really is a champion table tennis player.  She is also specifically committed to the belief that the sport of table tennis is a catalyst for positive change too.

For some additional background, she includes the following information about herself on her website as well

Soo Yeon Lee is a champion table tennis player, fashion model, and actor.

An internationally recognized celebrity, Soo Yeon’s  remarkable table tennis skills and her bold, sexy look, have launched her career in film, television and fashion and branded her as the new face of table tennis on the world stage.

Born in Pusan, South Korea, Soo Yeon Lee began training in table tennis at age 9 under former Olympic gold medalist Jung  Hwa Hyun.

Recognition came early with multiple titles as Korean National Junior Team Champion at age 13. Soo Yeon’s unique defensive technique, emphasizing spin variation and finesse movements, landed her a prestigious spot on Korea’s National Team where she took 2nd place in the World University Championship in China.

Soo Yeon’s success continued as she was crowned the New Zealand Women’s Champion in 2004, U.S. Open Champion in 2007, winner of the Cary Open and the San Diego Open Women’s Singles in 2008, and most recently winner of the 2009 Killerspin Invitational Tournament in Chicago.

And now even more recently she dominated Blake Griffin in Ping Pong.  Dude never had a chance either.
