Report: Stoudemire punches glass, needs paramedics after loss

The reports are still sketchy, but it appears Amar’e Stoudemire punched through a pane of glass after the New York Knicks dropped Game 2 of their series with the Miami Heat.  Here is the relevant information, via the writers who were there and their Twitter accounts.

There are reports of a blood on the locker room floor… at least one player says Stoudemire needed stitches… and yet another says he’d bet Stoudemire is out of the next game.

And of course, Twitter erupted to treat this situation of extreme stupidity with what it deserved, a ton of mocking.  I can’t keep track of them all, I’m sure if you scroll down this list, you’ll find a few you like.   There are a lot of them.   One of my favorites came from a fake Mike D’Antoni account:

What a dumb, dumb, dumb thing for Stoudemire to do.  What more can you say about this situation?  I can’t wait to see what the back pages in New York say in the morning.

Oh Knicks… don’t ever change.
