Nate Robinson is coming off arguably the best statistical season of his career. He averaged a career best 4.5 assists per game this past year, and coupled that with 11. 2 points per night on average for the Golden State Warriors. According to a Sam Amick report this week, he is about to parlay that into a job with the Chicago Bulls.
Eventually, Robinson's role would be in relief of Derrick Rose. For at least the first half of the season however, Nate is expected to play a lot of point guard for Chicago.

The Bulls are close to adding veteran point guard Nate Robinson, according to reports.
SI.com’s Sam Amick quoted Robinson agent Aaron Goodwin as saying his client would sign with Chicago “barring unforeseen problems.”
Robinson played well on offense for Golden State last season, averaging 11.2 points (42.4 percent shooting), 23.5 minutes, 1.2 steals and a career-high 4.5 assists.
This will be Robinson's fifth team in eight NBA seasons. Prior to playing in Golden State, he's also spent time with the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, and Oklahoma City Thunder. He's been moved around a lot, but the fact that he keeps landing with quality organizations speaks well about the type of guy he is around the locker room I think. Nate Robinson isn't being signed because of his overwhelming ability is my inference there. But maybe the Bulls hope to employ a Slam Dunk champ in the next couple years, who knows.
Nate Robinson would become the Bulls’ sixth new player this off-season. He joins first round pick Marquis Teague, Kirk Heinrich, Marco Belinelli, Vladimir Radmanovic and Nazr Mohammed. I honestly had no idea Nazr was still in the League until a couple weeks ago. No offense, Mr. Mohammed. Getting back to Robinson though, this could be a big opportunity for him this season. While he will eventually back-up Derrick Rose, in the meantime he'll be playing major minutes for a team that most NBA fans will be paying attention to. As opposed to the team he played for last season.
