Andrew Bynum Follows Kramer’s Advice, Takes The Handicapped Spot

Yes, that’s the back-side of Andrew Bynum next to a very expensive BMW, which just happens to be parked in two handicapped spots.  LA’s NBC affiliate has the story, along with a few other photos and a shot of Bynum nearly slamming his door on a reporters arm.

Now, let me blatantly rip off an idea from Tosh.0, put 20 seconds on the clock, and see how many funny comments we can leave before time runs out:

  • He actually did have the handicapped placard for the car… he stole the one JJ Barea got after Bynum cheap-shotted him in the playoffs.
  • Andrew thought his knees qualified him for the spot
  • In the NBA, only having a BMW counts as being handicapped
  • Andrew wasn’t going to park there, but Kramer talked him into it.

Honestly, Andrew deserves all the crap he gets for this, especially when you look at all the empty spots 20 feet behind him.  Did he think “nah, I’m only seven feet tall and a Laker… no one will even notice it’s me”?  Or is it just an “I’m a Laker, I can do what I want” attitude?  Either way, the internet will impart a harsher punishment on Bynum than LA county can.  All he’ll get hit with is a $353 fine.  I’m sure a guy who’s made $35 million so far can swing that.

Parking in the handicapped spot is just a head-shaker.  But then again, so is a lot of the stuff Bynum has done.  Add this to the list.
