Twitter / @KBerg_CBS: League and union agreed to … via kwout

For the second straight day, the union and the NBA met for about five and a half hours and ended with a promise to continue talking soon.  This time, both sides will meet again on Tuesday with larger committees on each side.  It’s possible they could meet on Wednesday as well.

This is an obvious sign of progress, but David Stern made it clear that the time factor more than anything else is contributing to the run of meetings.  Player and owners will meet on September 15th in Las Vegas and Dallas respectively to deliver status updates to their respective groups.

Once again, no one revealed any details about what was discussed in the meeting and there were no “hacked” tweets to give us any glimpse into what was said.  All we can do is look at it as another day of talk that seemingly went well… at least well enough to involve more people the next time around.  And you don’t meet for 11 hours on consecutive days and get nowhere.

Tick, tock fellas.  You’ve got a couple of weeks left to hammer this thing out.  Don’t miss your chance to be smug in front of all the cameras and wonder what all the fuss was about this summer.
