I think this Nike Back For The Future campaign in support of Michael J. Fox’s foundation to benefit Parkinson’s research is a tremendously cool way to raise money for a tremendously important issue.
I was a fan of Micheal J. Fox’s ever since he was rolling with Marty McFly and Alex P. Keaton back in the day, but I’m and even bigger fan of his now. I respect and admire the guy a great deal for the way he’s approached his battle with Parkinson’s disease, and I’m glad to see a guy like Kevin Durant hooked up with him here on this campaign to help spread the word on his cause some.
In an effort to do that, KD posted the following four pictures on his Facebook page yesterday from his Back For The Future Advertising Shoot. Check out the one where Durant is rocking the Marty McFly Jean’s jacket; in the future, I guess they make those to fit 6’11” small forwards.
Said Durant in a Facebook update on the shoot: “I had a great time. Shout out to Christopher Lloyd, Tinker Hatfield and Bill Hader! This is all for a great cause, so check out http://back4thefuture.com/ for more details.”
Great cause indeed. I’m looking forward to this series of commercials cycling through my HD Universe on repeat, and I hope it raises more than fifty times the amount of money that Biff tried to win through those Almanac bets as a result.
